Baigas are traditional local healers of Chhattisgarh that have been practicing for generations in areas considered hostile for government medication to reach. The Baigas are now threatened by unsustainable deforestation and fires that are endangering their lives and livelihood. The State Medicinal Plant Board and the Care for Earth Society began the process of the bio-cultural protocol with the Baiga community.
